A hexagonal-prism shape and bandaged pieces make for a far more complex solution than needed for the standard 3x3x3 that hides at the base of this puzzle. Rather than each face having its own color (as with most WCA puzzles), each piece of this puzzle has its own color, allowing for many colors to be visible from all angles. Solving this puzzle means getting it back to its original, hexagonal form.
